Default I need your help Music Banter!!!!

I previously asked how to become a well known musician and among the answers someone suggested that I take part in an online talent show. The winner is based off of votes alone so I need as many people as I can get to go on for 2 minutes and vote for me. Would anyone be willing to do this for me? I would really appreciate it because I could really use the award money .

If your entry is the best, I'm sure you'll get a lot of votes, but we members of MB tend to be a tough crowd. Do you have a link for the voting options?

Asking how to be a well known musician on a random music forum is the dumbest idea ever. Try practicing and being good at something, not coercing your way to stardom. Also putting a random hot girl (or hell even if its you in your avatar) is pretty lame way of getting people to answer.

The last thing I will ever do on this planet is vote for some chancer in a talent show, let alone one that spams a music forum looking for votes.

Ask yourself this question: am I in it for the fame and money or am I in it for the love of music?

Simple.

step 1: Make a great record
step 2: Release said great record
step 3: tour said great record
step 4: Release one more great record

repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 as desired.

final step: Suicide

Worked for Cobain, might work for you, never know.

I most definitely would not do such a thing. I probably wouldn't even do this for a friend, let alone you.

Bite the style of someone who was popular 20 years ago, but put a fresh modern twist on it.

You guys are being kind of rough.

Yes, this is technically spamming/trolling/whatever.

But can you really fault a young artist (if that is what he/she really is) for trying to branch out and create a fanbase? I agree that this is not the best way to go about it (randomly popping up on an internet forum and asking people that you don't know to vote for you in a talent show that they're not a part of), but he/she obviously doesn't intend to stick around, so it obviously won't hurt them to atleast try.

All music should be judged on its own merit, and I always enjoy hearing new GOOD music.

Post a link. If your entry is the best then I'll throw a vote your way (as long as it doesn't require creating a BS account on some website). If it's not the best, then you won't get a vote. Simple enough.
