Nope, its just a subjective opinion. Not considering something the worst based on something like accomplishments would be a rather closed minded way to view it though. It doesn't matter what it has accomplished, if someone subjectively considers something subjective the worst based on subjective criteria than that is subjectively the worst to them.

Good to know, Mr. guy who has over 1000 posts that consist only of a few words of trollish nonsense, surely your opinion matters.

Have any of these people claiming that classical music is the worst kind of music even listened to any? and do they mean the classical period or just in general?
by the way anyone actually listened to death metal? i mean it must have redeeming factors in there but as far as i can tell no melody no real harmonic variation yay aeolian, locrian and phrgian modes...ugh no range of emotions...only hate and anger horrible tone devoid of mid-range lyrics that dont actually matter due to their consistent incoherence and every song with a frickin double kick not to mention the hair and clothes and wanky playing im not a huge classical fan ( im in an electro group, and a big fan of daft punk) but to diss a multi-faceted genre that spans centuries and continents is just ignorant...you really must just not like music go listen to noisecore and pretend melody and harmony dont exist |

Country and gangsta rap are tied for first in my book with screamo taking second. And I have to agree with FireInCairo about death metal.
Classical has some good compositions. I think if people explored it more and actually got to listen to more composers they'd eventually find one or two composers that they like. I wasn't really into it until i stumbled upon Carl Orff (Carmina Burana). |

Sometimes death metal breaches genres and actually sounds good. In fact, some of the best modern metal bands are death metal bands:
Agalloch Opeth Meshuggah Anathema (it's a stretch, but w/e) If 90% of death metal is shit, there's still other outstanding metal genres that I hate even more. Black metal is completely awful, with some of the most gruesome lyrics ever.

nu-metal smooth jazz contemporary christian urban contemporary gospel |
