A: For me, it's Phish and The Grateful Dead. Aside from both being really about their live performance, they're really not all that musically similar; GD was just an influence. It's like comparing Queen and Radiohead.

A: Basically any kind of music that uses harsh vocals. I can't stand when people use the term "screamo" to describe anything they hear that has harsh vocals.

Yes, obviously. You're still writing/arranging music which takes talent.
