And to make the story different alltogether; I even have pics of that one time. The camera was there anyway and hey... It's pretty unique to have those. I'm not on them by the way. Thank goodness. Haha, in that time I listened to a lot more REM than I do now. So that could actually have happened. But nope, it was Counting Crows. I don't even really think about that when I listen to this album. It's just that it was mentioned in the first thread .

Yeah Peter Frampton's Baby I Love Your Way is ruined as it reminds of a pretty disasterous relationship!

Mountain Goats - This Year
This was the first "folky" song I ever liked and it had a big, big impact on me. I just loved the simplicity of the melody and the sad yet hopeful nature of the lyrics. It reminds me of summer of last year, I had just turned 15 and was starting to go to parties and getting drunk/high. It was kind of scary tbh, I used to think drinking and drugs seemed scary. It was also when I first started noticing I was attracted to guys and that REALLY scared me, so I was quite depressed. It was an exciting time though, having all these new feelings. I still love that song and album and it always reminds me of that summer. In The Aeroplane Over the Sea also reminds me of the same time period, as I discovered that around the same time, but this is for songs, not albums. |
