In what sense is Adele the only alternative to Lady Gaga? Even speaking in terms of mainstream music, you've got Janelle Monae doing great work right now.

Let's put it this way. I don't really hate Lady Gaga but most of her music is below par in my view. Lady Gaga is one of the most overrated artists I have seen for a long time.
