I don't think it really matters. Hell, I feel awful for thinking Elizabeth Hart is hot and how just her presence alone really contributes to Psychic Ills. I mean, her basslines really flow, and contribute to the bands sound and the amazing rhythm section they had early on. She has an awesome sense of style and pays a lot for her clothes, so I would call her a fashionista.

A lot of the bands I listen to have women, so it's not too odd when I see girls in groups. I mean, My bloody Valentine, Pia Fraus, Melt-Banana, Mahogany, Stereolab, A Sunny Day In Glasgow, Beach House, and a bunch of other groups I really like rely on women to make their sound. I really don't see why there is a thread on this as a good deal of women are in bands. People probably just aren't looking hard enough.

I think Joan Jett and Cherrie Curry are damn hot and great singers they are a great example (during the Runaways days) of being a fierce all-girl group.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

I listen to much more male oriented bands. I have nothing against any women bands or singers though. One of my favorite sludge/stoner bands is Acid King, Lori S' voice is fine. Plenty of great women bands out I don't see why people would be "hatin'" on them.

I don't get it either, maybe s_k can provide some insight into the issue.

I have no preconceived preference for gender of singers, as long as the singer is good and one I like.

Can't believe the backwardness (s_k) of this thread.

I think the chick in Comus is a ****ing awesome singer. I should listen to more music with female vocalists.
The Melt-Banana vocalist's energy practically leaps off of the songs, too.

I have no problem with female singers, as long as I like their voice/sound. Pretty much the same as male singers.
