Can anyone tell me how many Genres did Miles Davis influence. How many did he compose or write music for??

Not a huge fan of Miles but I'd say he was one of the biggest influences on the developement of jazz fusion.

Hip Hop
Smooth Jazz
Rock and Roll
R&B
Bebop
Rap

Ambient is also a more subtle influence of his. You'd be surprised how some of those jazz fusion recordings dive into that territory (for some background, check out Panthalassa: The Music of Miles Davis 1969-1974). Post-Rock is another good indicator; In A Silent Way feels much like a precursor to the genre, albeit in a silent way (OOOOHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA)
