Yeah, it has a very interesting effect, as you listen; the complete lack of emotion and the deliberate refusal to distinguish between what`s important and what isn`t. It`s very existential !

it's almost like "darling this is what happened at work today blah blah blah same old same old" without actually picking out the "funny" part of it

Vordb is the man who created the language Gloatre that they use. Just a few of their other band names:

Moëvöt
Dzlvarv
Dvnaèbkre,
Vzaéurvbtre
Vrepyambhre
Vagézaryavtre
Mveprebrartre
Eëtheryarkluatre
Mavbtreëh
Norzbgorobtre

There's a few songs that are pretty dam scary that come to mind.

Ambient - Sound, Brainwaves and Dimensions

This one probably takes the cake, very spooky. I have trouble just sitting through this.

Sunn O))) - It Took The Night to Believe

Very brooding, this album is just insanely dark in general.

Aghast - Sacrifice

The wailing in this song drives me nuts. Pretty scary/creepy

I was just listening to this and the cats screaming and howling really sent shivers down my spine. And then I realized the cats are not in the music but outside, just beneath my window.

I LOVE Penderecki's scary music. What I like the most is the unbearable tension. You're waiting for something to happen, anything, just to release it, but it doesn't. Great stuff!!! Was this one also in The Shining? I know there are several of his composition in that film.

I love it too! And it's quite possible that this piece was featured in The Shining. It's been a long while since I've seen that movie, but I do know that Kubrick prominently featured a lot of obscure instrumental music in his films.
