MAGIC DRAGON were Germans which put this (rather proggy) lp out of British Columbia in the 80s.
Side 2 has a long track where the tape from Reverend Jimbo's Kool-Aid party in the jungle of Amazonia is running under the sombre music. Try googling this lp. I dont think you will find it. |

I didn't expect John Denver to endorse such sexist poetry but, yeah, that's creepy as shit. At least you didn't have to watch that video along with it I hope.

Yes, very impressive in its way, I guess, though I don`t think I`ll be playing it very often! I didn`t really understand what you wrote about gloatre and Vordb. What was that all about ?
I don`t find the music intrusive, Il Duce, though I always thought the song was rather a waste of space on an otherwise interesting album. I like all the unnecessary details that are squeezed into the narrative, but the "twist" is only interesting once, isn`t it ? Another song that`s always given me the creeps is Maxwell`s Silver Hammer, not because it`s grisly but because it`s not. It makes clubbing someone to death with a hammer sound like an amusing little prank. God knows what Macca was thinking at the time - probably swept away, as usual, by his facility at coming up with chirpy little pop hooks. |
