I've disabled comments on Youtube. The conversations on a lot of the music and videos that I look up are ridiculous. I find that on a lot of the videos that I watch, there's always a bunch of arrogant idiots who think they know what they're talking about. Especially on the political videos, where everything turns into a debate and/or a spammy flame-war. I wish that Youtube was more heavily moderated in terms of the comments section, but since thousands of vids are uploaded daily, it would be impossible to keep up with that.

yeah sometimes I get worried I Know them too well, when every situation reminds me of one of his strips... Regarding Youtube comments, I think i posted one once, I never went back to find out what reception it got... When taken with a grain of salt, they can be highly amusing, but I do agree that there are certain ones that are just totally moronic.

I HATE the comments on Dubstep videos. My god. We get it, the song is filthy. I don't care if it's filthier than Hitler's gas bill. The funniest one I ever read is "I pee on the side of the toilet bowl so I don't make too much noise".

It's hard to find a video that I like without any dumbass comments on them. The thumbs up if you agree is a way for people with low self esteem who feel bad about themselves to feel better by knowning people actually "care". Really sad what some people comment on. It frustrates me also when people post that music was so good back in the 60's 70's 80's and 90's whatever the persons poison is and they say that all music today is justin bieber and lady gaga. Just something that stupid infuriates me people need to get a clue and wake up. Or when stupid ass kids post "I'm only so and so years old and I like this music." Man who cares, how old a person is when they listen to music it's just plain dumb. It's not like its going anywhere and its a contest to see when you find it and it definatley doesn't mean anything if your some kid who likes an artist. This is why I try to avoid going on youtube and looking at the comments. Just enjoy the music and tune out everyone's input.

This! I was going to mention them as well, stuff like 'this is dirtier than fingering your sister and finding your dad's wedding ring' is well past a joke, and the original person to type that must surely have some issues that need resolving in therapy.

Overall I find it astonishing how many people need to seek approval from the youtube community with these regurgitated comments, even to the point where they'll go, "THUMBS UP!!!" at the end of it. Either that or there will be some religious debate on some video that has nothing to do with religion. I almost always check the comments though. It's kind of a habit. |
