I started hosting house shows in August and it's really cool because I get to talk to people in really awesome bands till 4 in the morning. Obscure as fuck but awesome all the same.

I never got to meet the musician themselves but rather their associates. I did get to meet their associates. For example I got to meet Bob Dylan associates. I had a good time with these guys.

The problem with Franco Pepe Kalle is that he is a unpredictable character. There is surprising info about this man. You think he only likes Franco and Pepe Kalle but when you find out that he hears other artists, you are shock. Girls are the sexy thing that God created. Important to notice FPK. |

I was convinced that I'd met Gary Numan. One of the ticket inspectors on South West Trains looks exactly like him and has a name badge that says 'Gary Numan' on it, but after a bit of searching on the internet apparently he's still making music, so it can't be him. I was devastated.

I'd love to meet Garfunkel, though. That guy is chill as hell. |

I've got my picture taken with Spider One of Powerman 5000 (the singer/only consistent member) back in '02 or so. He was a pretty chill dude. I got to talk to him for upwards of a minute after the show which is pretty long, sort of, when other folks are trying to get in and say hey.
I've met the fellas from Nuclear Rabbit, the singer Greg Parrish and bassist Jean Baudin at least three times after shows, showering them with praise. The shows have always been small enough where they can tell I know my Nuclear Rabbit inside out. I wish I could hang out with those dudes. Much respect. Very fun, very witty. I imagine one of these days I will get to hang out with them outside a show. /praying I've smoked Myka 9's and Aceyalone's weed with them. Separately, but on the same night. If only Abstract Rude would have been out there it would have been a trifecta. Myka9 is truly one of the nicest people in the rapping business. I admire the hell outta him and smoking with him and only 2 other people was an honor and privilege. Same with Aceyalone... there was only like three other people hitting the blunt, and we were just having a great time talking music. Aceyalone asked me if I had any suggestions for him. I mean ****, really? All I could tell him was to keep doing what he's doing and we'll be all over it, because his works are great and he already knows how to change styles and go multiple directions. Meeting Myka9 and Aceyalone is my greatest story yet. What an amazing night... |
