NIN are alright, but Trent seriously deserves a mention in this thread for Exotic Birds. The slaughter of Buddy Holly's classic "True Love Ways" starts up in about the 50 second mark. He's the one on the left at the Synth, and you can hear his vocals loud and clear. He KNEW he had to get out of that place fast. "Sometimes we'll cry"...too right after hearing this abomination. |

Menswerar - We Love You The chorus sounds a bit like "New York, New York," the band sounds like The Partridge Family led by a bad Davy Jones imitator. Johnny Dean possibly thought he looked like Jarvis in the opening of the video, and the lyrics were possibly made up on the spot. I never would put them in a list of great songwriters, but this made their Wire-wannabe "Daydreamer" a work of godlike genius by comparison. You could just hear their Fame Clock reaching Midnight with this one. The rot was already set in by this time. Cheesy, but way too annoying, although with a nice orchestral part. Still, I would like to hear Hay Tiempo (The 2'nd album, released only in Japan) just to be surprised. Just in case you don't know this, it was from August, 1996. The final days of Britpop at their worst. Last edited by Screen13; 04-18-2012 at 11:58 AM. Reason: Added a small review for the song |
