I vaguely remember that show Second City TV and thinking it was a more esoteric version of Saturday Night Live. Don't recall seeing that skit, though.
Confession: I actually like Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park", mainly because I think her voice is amazing on just about anything. I also like Frank Sinatra's version on his Trilogy album -- in which Frank removed whole portions of the lyrics, including the cake in the rain! |

I seriously feel my blood pressure go up anytime I hear anyone of these songs. Unfortunately, my boss at work has a collection of Now That's What I Call Music discs and he insists on playing them throughout the day. And these songs are spread throughout these discs.

I hate most VH songs but this one takes the cake because the drums at the beginning are so incredible it sets it up to be a great song. Then EVH proceeds to take those great drums and spew day after Taco Bell all over it. Then it just gets worse and worse when the vocals come in. Bleh.

There was so much raw talent on SCTV. I mean, most of these people went on to big things in movies.
