I don't mean to necro this thread on purpose but all of the songs that I've mentioned and that others have mentioned doesn't even hold a candle to R. Kelly's 12 Play.

Since I went on an R. Kelly listening binge today. I found out that it's just perfect. I guess I've never listened to it before but maaaan way too many good songs on one album.

I deem it the ultimate bedroom soundtrack all on its own.

Here's a golden oldie for you:

That Old Black Magic

On a lyrics site (sorry, they're not letting me post links yet) someone has attributed it to Frank Sinatra, and many other great singers have done it. According to Wikipedia, however, it was originally recorded by Glenn Miller; and I'll take the quiet intensity of his straightforward rendition (sung by Skip Nelson and the Modernaires) over the more gussied-up adaptations by others. Sometimes less is more. You can find it on Youtube.

Showing my age, I guess, but you can't be beat a choice bit of disco, or at least disco influence. Glad your links still work. You've made Motorcycle and Interstate a new fan.

Of classic disco, nothing for me will ever dethrone "Love in C minor" by Cerrone. It's almost entirely instrumental, practically a symphony of 15 mesmerizing minutes. Where I come from, it held pride of place at the peak of the night for months. Youtube has an excerpt. (Listen, but try not to watch the derivative girls. Don't we all know that disco was a gay art from the word go, a response to laws forbidding two guys from touching on a dance floor, or even being identifiable partners. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade...)

Reign In Blood is the ultimate bedroom soundtrack. Try it.

I've always followed the 5 point plan, but since the GF and me have been together for 15 years, this doesn't really work anymore:

The ultimate bedroom soundtrack from Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin:

In 1970, Je T'aime Moi Non Plus was banned in the United States because of Jane Birkin's heavy breathing and moans of orgasmic ecstasy as she begs her lover to "enter her." A great moment in the history of French pop.
