If I was going to get myself a set of decks I'd probably just throw myself right in at the deep end and get the Pioneer digital ones. That way if I don't figure it out on my own which I probably would after a few days/weeks. My friends can give me a little hand and help me with my "mixing" and make me better than what I would be from being self taught.
