I just went through all my favorite bands on Facebook. Like hell if I'm going to do "Music by (state)" in wiki for every state.

It's hard since 99% of my favorite musicians either come from California, Japan, or Europe.

Ohio has a surprisingly large amount of good bands.

yes tons of good bands....but only one legendary perfect super crazy awesome amazing band :)

I chose The National, because I listen to them a hell of a lot. But Devo were certainly a contender.

As are Combustible Edison, The Amazing Crowns and, technically, Talking Heads.

That's because it's a fairly populous state with several mid-size cities. It's all a part of the pattern my friend. :)

I don't listen to enough American artists to make such a list. :( I went through all my music and got around 10-11 states.
