Default On the trail of Dead

Iv'e really been getting into 'Trail of Dead lately. The problem is that I'm really not very familiar with their particular genre of music (no I wouldn't even begin to peg them into one). Im looking to expand ny tastes, so if anyone has any good suggestions of similar bands, or it would be greatly appreciated.

hmmm, I like them too...I'm not really sure what category they're in but similar bands are like: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (one of my favorite), Interpol, Dismemberment Plan, hmm..and maybe Mercury Rev..good bands.

I love this band, and they're coming to my city to play and I can't afford to see them, which really sucks.

When they came around here I heard their concert was cheap but I couldn't go. Damn girlfriend. How much was it at your city?

they're not coming till may, but I've got sooo many expenses for school that take top priority, so I can't afford to spend any money on concerts or anything like that right now. It sucks.

I always saw them as a rock band generally. Except that they blow most current rock bands out of the water. See them live, you'll never go back. They play with 2 drumkits and the sound is amazing. The third time I saw them, just before the new album was released was my best gig ever. Its worth every penny.

Similar bands... ermm.. well they're kinda experimental so I'd start looking at more experimental bands like Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky and Xiu Xiu and see what you think. The music is as edgy, just usually no lyrics.
