Wanted: Boy Bands
the lack of boy bands in society is a very depressing topic. what happened to all those sexually questionable groups of all boys with the different roles? like the bad boy and the smart one, and like all-american boy? and what about the SPICE GIRLS! man, life would be so much better if we had boy and girl bands to make fun of/ talk about how hot they were. :P

Theyre still around, they all seem to be doing solo work now... 'Part from Hanson, but seeing as they failed making a comeback to the music scene, I reckon one of them will start a solo career.. Cant wait for that day Thats gonna be fun..

I remember an episode in Family Guy when Quagmire side the hottest chick on the planet is Taylor Hansen and Peter said,"Taylor Hansen is a guy." lol but yes, it will be funny when the boy bands come together again.

There`s plenty of boybands around
Linkin Park , Green Day , Blink 182 , Good Charlotte , McFly , The Rasmus The music industry realised a long long time ago that boybands selling lightweight dancy pop music doesn`t sell anymore. Rock was selling, so what do you do? Doesn`t take a genius to figure out. And if you disagree you`re obviously in denial

Loads of boybands play their own instruments or have done in the past, But thats besides the point ,Don`t be so short sighted.
A band plays their own instruments? big deal. That doesn`t mean they`re not aimed at teenagers. What do you think happened when the record companies realised boybands who make dancy pop tunes didn`t sell as well & noticed that rock music was selling & that the 'alternative' sound was popular? You think they sat on their asses & said to themseves 'Oh no the Backsteet Boys & Nsync are unfashionable , there`s a whole generation of kids wearing black who like guitar rock , I guess now we`re ****ed" Of course they didn`t, they went around looking for those sorts of bands that would appeal to that audience. Safe predictable rock music for teenagers who watch MTV , maybe a few ****s or ****s bleeped out in the lyrics to appeal to the kids. Just because it`s guitar music doesn`t mean anything. It`s mass produced safe boring predictable crap aimed at a wider audience as possible.Playing guitar is hardly difficult all you need are 3 or 4 chords. If boybands can learn to sing I hardly think a couple of chords are beyond them. If you can`t see that then you really are blind

The industry fatcats made available an easy transition for fans who grew out of the N Sync/Backstreet era to adapt the new look of pop music- bland, uninspired teen angst pop-rock bands that were carbon copied from the success of groups like Green Day and Linkin Park. The lyrics are just as stale and generic as their bubblegum counterparts. You wanna talk about what's sad? Try a pseudo-political, anti-Bush anthem that sold millions in 2004.
