My bad bro.

It was my first time listening to Sludge Metal and it just didn't agree with my ears. I just didn't know how to make that into a sizable enough review.

Also I believe Janszoon still owes me a review as well for Raw as Folk.

You never sent it to me. I did end up tracking it down on my own eventually though so suppose I could write a review if you want.

I feel bad for forgetting about this for 2 months, so I finally listened to it.

The drums on this instrumental album are great, and the other instruments on here are fine as well. I wasn't expecting this album to be drum-centric, but it became apparent to me shortly after I started listening. I haven't heard much math rock outside of Battles, but I felt that this was a good introduction to the genre.

I'm sorry that this is so short. I've only written a few short reviews before now.

My bad, I didn't realize at the time that was a rule of the trade. Then I sort of forgot about it until I read RVCA's post.

If you have the time then go ahead. I don't want to rush you or anything.

So instead I am going to send you this:

This duo are D.J's who also make their own music but it is as D.J's that they are revered. They own a huge old house in Washington (I think) where they have chilled out nights belting out music from every corner of the earth. This comp takes you from the Bossa Nova of South America to the deep Dub of Jamaica through the beats of the middle east and the funky house of contemporary clubs in the U.K and U.S. All the while sounding completely effortless and cohesive.

This album has remained one of my personal faves for over ten years and doesn't sound dated in the slightest. Hope you like at least some of it :)

Thank you. I really enjoyed this. I have come across Thievery Corporation in the past because I was looking for Industrial music and I think it was some user on Limewire that had them labeled wrong. I ended up picking up KMFDM that day and some others.

I thought this album was going to be their work but if I had read your write-up before listening to it, I would have known that it was a comp. I love the way they put the comp together. I felt like I had my passport stamped and was taking a trip through different countries.

An obscure early Japanoise/Industrial album. My brother introduced me ot it, no idea where he found this, but imo, it's a true gem.

I'm pretty pissed that I have to wait a day to listen to this. Thanks again Skali.

Amazing combination of two avant-garde improvising geniuses who go relatively unknown.
