Default Bob Dylan and Copyright Laws

Does anyone know anything about this? I have noticed that Sony has banned every studio recording done by Dylan from Youtube. I have also noticed that they removed a lot of covers of Dylan songs as well as live recordings. Does anyone know why this is happening? I don't really this type of thing happening with Hendrix, Blue Cheer, Velvet Underground, etc.

Columbia, his label, is owned by Sony.

That's kind of like asking why we aren't feeding all of people dying of starvation all across the world while there is plenty to feed them with. There's really no good answer, other than some people would lose money, and that really doesn't sit well with those particular people.

Those people need to be dragged out of their houses and beaten (unless Dylan is actually one of them- which I doubt)

I wouldn't say that... violence never solves anything, but I am growing tired of all of the greed... I feel to some extent that art should be free, but that is only to some extent.
