Haha wow. They obviously don't have a very broad knowledge of music. There's so much music out there that doesn't have lyrics!

When I was younger, I used to think that about jazz too, and classical, until I started listening to them and learning to appreciate the genres.

I said this at one point not too long ago in another forum...

And I also have grown to respect Jazz over the years, I think when you are young you don't really have the attention span to appreciate it.

Yeah, it's definitely true. I wish I had a tape recorder because this kid just follows me around saying some of the dumbest ****.

"I don't really like Muse. They play all of their songs in the same mode." - My stepdad pretending to know anything about music theory. I checked and most artists play music in the same modes. It's made more painful by the fact that he only listens to classic rock and grunge.
