The Band's Greatest Hits - recorded throughout the sixties and seventies but only released in 2000
Fleetwood Mac's Rumours (1977) - Easily the best album to come out of the seventies Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited (1965) - Dylan has so many great albums but this one stood out for me |

Well, when I heard the instrumentals... it was great, but the vocals were just terrible. Maybe it's just me, but I can't stand that screaming thing. I had my hopes up too because I've had a lot of difficulty getting into punk besides Patti Smith (her early stuff) and Television (and they're not completely punk). Ah well.

I'm just discovering this - on first listen, I must say it's rather good!
There are a good few tracks on this I just cannot stop listening to... And .... ..the first Linkin Park album, which I'm finding ridiculously enjoyable (and I'm nowhere near the demographics of their target audience). |

Turquoise_Days, you should make friends with RVCA.
I find this thread a little silly, mainly because in 2009 I had about 250 albums and now I have about 1,300. I've pretty much found all my favourite albums this year. Maybe 2011 won't be as prosperous, so if we have this thread come the end of 2011 I may be able to post a few favourites. |

I'm not going to rule all of them out, but in most cases I've heard, it's just a sound so unpleasant for me that I can't focus anywhere else in the music. It's a distraction I don't tend to enjoy. Some people hate nails on a chalkboard, others hate the sound of sandpaper. When it comes to music, that's the one for me that causes the most distaste.

250 to 1300? Where did you find the time to listen to them all??!!!! Well done, though. I find it takes me a good few weeks to really get into an album, once the first listen convinces me that I want to listen it again - as a result, I've got a backlog of albums that will easily take me into...ooooh, 2015? |
