I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

My favorite cover of the track above is "The Light 3000," a minimal electro version issued in in France back in 2000 by Schneider TM. I was thrilled to find a copy on vinyl this month at a Small Business Saturday event as part of a triple LP set from the Back to Mine series showcasing favorite tracks by The Orb. It took me back 20 years!

I'm sure covers of this are in the thread but I can't find them right now.

Ok maybe this one isn't better objectively but Carrie Brownstein sings it
Women singing and clapping in a good song?

I'm going to quote it in my Pronoun thread.

The original Soul Brothers Six version is awesome but the GFR version is just crushing. Many a good night spent drunkenly stumbling down the sidewalk with the homies belting out these lyrics.

I actually prefer Marianne Faithfull's version of Madame George to Van's.

The Shalimar mention gets to me - my mother's favorite perfume.

I heard Vans version of this a long time ago, and really didn't pay much attention to it until I heard this one:

I went back and listened to Van's again, and now it's just not the same. Derek's delicate touch is chill inducing. Even Warren faltering just a tiny bit (Fff... Fog Horn lol) makes it kinda special.
