Jeff Buckley's cover of Hallelujah is one of the best things I've ever heard.

Not sure if it counts exactly as a cover, but I prefer Elmatic to Illmatic in all honesty.

Just heard this recently. Can't believe it took me until now. Not only is this head and shoulders above the original, but I think I this guitarist better than Jimmy Page. We're looking at like, almost Hendrix-level vibrato here...
