I can't get enough of the Best Coast album. It's ****ing awesome, one of my favourites from this year for sure.

2. Agalloch "Marrow of the Spirit"
3. Joanna Newsom "Have One On Me"
4. Deerhunter "Halcyon Digest"
5. Envy "Recitation"

that's tentatively my top 5 this year, though I'm still going through and relistening to a lot of stuff, and some new stuff that I completely ignored. I must say I wrote off the Best Coast album before even hearing it and I listened to it yesterday and really really really liked it, even if it's kind of hipster trash.

Oooh, I have to hear this! Never heard of this band, but going by your description should be worth checking out.
