Interesting....I'm not sure what to think.
I can't practically stop music downloads though...as I am too poor for buying cds....

I'm just curious how well this system would actually work. I am back into buying things because my laptop crashed not too long ago and I lost everything I had downloaded....so I believe owning things is more practical.

But of course there are a few cds that are hard to find in stores so I download.

I download a lot but I also buy my fair share... I usually back up what I DL though.

^I would do that, but I believe that would involve the purchase of a shit ton of cd-r's or an external harddrive, correct?

Eh, I guess not really but I'd rather spend 10-15 bucks per paycheck on one new CD than make a 50-100+ purchase at once just to have my internet shut off by the "man" for downloading music.

Monitoring P2P networks?

I've not used one of those in about 4 years.

the music industry causes piracy.

the legit way of getting songs only leads to DRM loaded files which can fail ant any moment

google yahoo music drm server and also google MSN music drm server for more info on what people who buy music go through

DRM = your music dies when the company you bought the music from dies

when Itunes dies out and gets rid of their DRM servers then your itunes bought music will also fail

if you want more people to buy music, then stop treating your customers like criminals and maybe then they will be more willing to pay for music
