What album would you recommend by these guys? I just checked out clips for Tut Tut Now Shake Ya Butt, where this song appears. I'm not sure it would have appealed to me had I not heard this song in its entirety.

Tut Tut is a concept album having to do with Abraham Lincoln quotes or some **** and is kind of boring outside of 'Radical Businessman' IMO.

edit: don't review this song, it's just there for sidewinder's enjoyment. :)

Ew, I don't like the The Smiths. Listened to the whole thing. It did nothing for me. 2/10.

Definatley not my favorite from off of there. It was an okay song it's just that it's nothing really new it didn't blow me away. I did enjoy the ending though with the borderline dubstep.

duga 11-02-2010 07:41 PM

Started off good, then my interest slowly faded. They needed to do something somewhere in the middle. It just kind of stalled. The end picked up again, though. Good but not great...6.5/10

i really enjoyed the start of it.

but then it repeated itself ad nauseum.

it sucks.

Charlemagne 11-02-2010 10:23 PM

Since there is no new song to review I will put one up.

Dude, that is just kick ass! I love the vibes that I get from that song. Getting their album for certain. 8.5/10.

^ I liked the song. The sounds were really nice. quite gritty. The vocals were nice too 8/10

Janszoon 11-03-2010 08:04 AM

Interesting juxtaposition of the etherial with the raw. I like it! 8/10

Here's mine: Art Blakey Quintet—"Split Kick"

dankrsta 11-03-2010 08:50 AM

^^^I enjoyed it very much. This is the kind of jazz that is appealing to me, so I'll probably look into this Art Blakey Quintet more. Not sure how to rate it at this point, I'll need more listens for that, but the first reaction is positive.

Savage Republic - Next to Nothing

Guys it's called mini-review.
Don't just give a rating, at least say a little about how much you liked it and why.

I liked it, enjoyed the raw post-punky sounds, can tell some Joy Division influence in there for sure. :)

Charlemagne 11-03-2010 11:45 AM

Jangly, I like it! It's poppy and upbeat and something you can definitely have fun listening to, and listen to it multiple times. Thank you for this! 8.5/10

Banana Dave 11-03-2010 11:57 AM

No Worries Charlemagne, glad you liked it :) and 7/1- for your song btw dankrsta

'Jackolantern's Weather' by 311

James 11-04-2010 01:26 PM

Never really been a fan of 311 but this song was decent I guess. Nice rhythm and delivery.

bob. 11-04-2010 01:54 PM

10/10...i love that album...and this song....he is an amazing multi-talented musician

Badlittlekitten 11-05-2010 09:38 AM

^ Liked the music, especially the harmonics on the guitar. The vocals were a bit too earnest for my liking but the melody was nice. 6/10

Very good song, uplifting, quirky and interesting all the way through despite the repetition and length. 8/10

Laurie Anderson - O Superman (it is long and hypnotic, but listening to the words is essential)

Kaimon 11-05-2010 06:51 PM

I'm at a loss for words. I don't even know how to start with that. That was just so weird but I ended up loving it so much. 10/10

'Cadillac' by Danko Jones

Charlemagne 11-06-2010 09:54 AM

Those were really awful lyrics and I wasn't really a huge fan of the instrumentals either. 2/10

Not a huge fan on songs without vocals but i do like the Garage punk/lo-fi sounds there. 5/10

I hate a lot of acoustic songs. This was meh, I'm sorry I don't appreciate it.
5.5/10

Sorry, this is kinda long...... :P

Charlemagne 11-07-2010 12:44 AM

That was a bit too heavy for my tastes, but it wasn't awful. 5/10
