that made me think of a frantic food fight in a mental hospitals cafeteria....i really wish that was longer 10/10

9/10 Really enjoyed that!

9/10 I really liked that. Irish folk, sounded traditional but modern. I thought it was truly great.

One of my favorites by Albert Hammond, Jr.

The Batlord 03-08-2013 09:29 AM

This sounds like the perfect song to play on a bright, sunny, summer day with puffy white clouds overhead while driving in a convertible with the top down. Fun and hypnotic. 10/10

My only hope is that someone who hates Manowar ends up listening to this song.

PoorOldPo 03-09-2013 08:18 PM

Loving this stuff, man. 9/10

Dude, I pegged you as a folk and alternative kinda guy. I would never have guessed that you were a closet Manowar fan.

PoorOldPo 03-11-2013 09:23 AM

You'd be surprised the kind of stuff I listen to! haha

An interesting song. I think I would have liked it more had it been produced differently. The bass is too prominent compared to the drums and vocals, to me anyway. 6/10

I dig it. I thought it would be a lot darker themed, judging from the name of song. It's one of those 60s songs I could listen to on repeat for an hour. Straight forward and charming. 7/10.

Electrophonic Tonic 03-11-2013 09:25 PM

Pretty standard pop fare, but the fact it wasn't incredibly overbearing and sugary sweet made me have a soft spot for it. 6/10

Frownland 03-11-2013 10:23 PM

I like the cool minimal beats of that one quite a bit, but the rapping doesn't really fit with them very well. I'm going to check out more from the artist, though. 7/10

Psychedub Dude 03-11-2013 10:23 PM

@phonic
It's pretty obscure and unique, but I don't feel the flow of it; it's very chaotic and doesn't come together well (for me at least)

@frownland
what even am i listening to

They (Clipping) are on Bandcamp and worth checking out. It's probably the weirdest sounding rap I've heard in a while because of the instrumentals and the raps. Speaking of it not mixing well, I wanted to post the song 'Guns Up' because it has the most extreme mixture of noise and trap rap (an extremely autotuned chorus of "throw yo guns up! throw yo guns up!" interjected by extremely harsh and static noise) but, I could not find it on youtube.

7/10 not bad!

I really liked that one. It flows smoothly and makes great use of harmony. 8/10.

PoorOldPo 03-25-2013 06:33 PM

I found it difficult to listen to, to be honest. I know it is avante garde but I just imagined a goose being ripped apart by bears slowly. sorry :( 5/10

Catchy, quirky, and a genuine foot tapper. Not really something I'd put on though. 6/10

Lets keep the theme going here:

MY GWAD was the for real the Drummer .... or was it just a loop with a few teaks here and there .... Cause Damm has a drummer my arm would tire out and die .....trying to keep that same tempo for 6 mins Props to him if that was real very neco Scream at the end ..but overall sounded more like a interlude or intro then a song 2/5

Psychedub Dude 03-27-2013 07:39 PM

I liked it, there's some pretty wild guitar riffs going on and it sounds very freeform like a jam session. What would be a good starting point for them album wise?

Me gusto slide guitar :thumb:

This was difficult for me to listen to. It did have a strange mesmerizing quality, though. 3.5/10

Brad Stengel 03-27-2013 11:14 PM

Sounds like a Neil Young/Lou Reed collab. Sloppy, so that's great. This is something I could dig. As it goes on it becomes more chaotic. I'm at 2:54 and this is awesome.

9/10. Elaborate.

I know I've posted this before but I LOVE IT.

Your video's not loading, dawg.

Edit: But for some reason it's loading in my quote. Weird.

Double edit: Some fun modern new wave. Even if the band members look like hipster douchetwats. 7/10

Psychedub Dude 03-28-2013 03:03 PM

Not generally my style of music, but it sounds pretty awesome. I feel like if I lit some candles and started chanting while that was playing I could summon some sort of ancient metal god haha

Electrophonic Tonic 03-28-2013 11:06 PM

A nice little diddy, and I appreciate that it only lasted just over two minutes. 7/10

Psychedub Dude 03-29-2013 07:53 AM

I haven't listened to Styx in a long time, and after listening to that I'm puzzled as to why that is. Excellent choice from a great band.

I liked the instrumentation and the island vibe. It's something I would listen to again. 7/10

Not my kind of song at all, really. I never liked that kind of music. 1/10.

Do you know why I come back here after 4 years? It's because MusicBanter is easily the most forgiving and fair music website on the planet. You could find a thread here that discusses the existential implications of "Nookie" by Limp Bizkit. Does that exist anywhere else? I don't believe so. I come here and speak my mind and every so often somebody sees the same as me. It's beautiful.

That being said, this song is ****ing terrible. It's a genre song, one that tries to fit into the genre that already has thousands of ****ty songs that sound like it, just to garner attention. I hate this.

Black Francis 04-01-2013 11:35 AM

well that was.. um.. different

i kinda liked it! ^_^ 7/10 (what's the problem with keyboard hitler?)

Then that's you, but to be honest, if you looked into the band and what they're all about you'd find out you're entirely wrong about that last part you said. Not to sound or rude or to start up a fight, I'm just making my point clear and if you respond, I won't back.

It wasn't terribly offensive, but I didn't like it very much. It sounded generic, wasn't catchy, and dragged on for too long. 4/10
