It was ok, just a little too repetitive for my taste. Also the lyrics were kinda dumb. 6/10

Hm. It's pretty good, I like the experimental time signatures, it confuses me :)
Nice overall guitar playing and rythm ik think I'm giving this song an 8/10

It was ok, not really my style, kind of repetitive, not something I would actively listen to. 5/10

Man that was really pretty. Just loved the melodies and the general feel of this song. Probably will look more into this band.

Haha, I love this album, and this is one of his better songs on it in my opinion. 7.8/10

Always thought that was a cool song 8/10

Phantom Limb 06-06-2011 03:43 PM

MMmmmmmm dark alt country. Awesome. I love the semi-tribal feel of the drums and the multilayered melody. 9/10

I'm a huge fan of the National, and this is one of my favorite songs off of the fantastic High Violet. 10/10

ThePhanastasio 06-10-2011 03:35 PM

I really liked the style of guitar playing from the get-go. Really mellow and nice. When the drums kicked in, it gave the song a kind of cool vibe. Vocally, the guy was pretty all right; lyrically it did leave a little something to be desired, but it did feel very honest which is always a major plus. I dig it. 9/10

Sljslj 06-11-2011 02:05 AM

Didn't like it. It's not that it's necessarily a bad song, just not the sort of thing I prefer to listen to. 5/10

Zer0 06-11-2011 02:51 PM

When it started I thought "ok an atmospheric intro, where's this going to go?", so I waited... and waited... then eventually realised it must be some sort of dark ambient track. At the end of it all though it just makes you feel a bit disappointed. Although I like ambient music there wasn't really much interesting happening here to keep me hooked or to warrant going back for another listen. 5/10

I thought this would roughly be the response for this song, but I tried anyway. Taken out of the context of the album, it doesn't seem like much. It's much easier to appreciate as track 3 of the Ampos album, then as an individual song. Know what I mean?

It may be blocked in America; I had to go to Youtube to listen to it on the WarnerBros channel. With that said, I can get behind some Depeche Mode. The sound is kind of dated, but in the way that's more nostalgic than in the unlistenable manner of some artists of the same era. It's just a cool song. 8.5/10.0

Insane Guest 06-11-2011 07:15 PM

I never did get into Hawkind, but that song was pretty cool. 7/10

Eargasm!!!

Ghost Mice is one of my all time favorite bands and I love this song, however I like the version on the Saw Wheel split more. 8/10

Not bad. Vocals seemed a bit overboard, but you gotta love the passion. 6/10

DoctorSoft 06-16-2011 08:42 PM

Sick man, loved the beat. I'm gonna lookinto this guy 8/10

First off, I really enjoyed the beat. And he goes hard on this track, which is great to hear. I dig it, for sure. 9/10.

I was surprised at how much I liked that, there was that beautiful vocal sample and really laid back very enjoyable beats. 8/10

My God, one of my most absolute favourite screamo songs ever, 9/10

Blarobbarg 06-17-2011 08:39 PM

Pretty sweet. 7.5/10, I'd love to hear what else is on the album.

Seven/Ten
Not my favourite album, but you have to love the way that guitar is played.

DoctorSoft 06-18-2011 12:23 PM

9/10 That song gave me a ****in boner dude

Blarobbarg 06-18-2011 08:41 PM

6-8/10
I really couldn't say how much I liked it. It was enjoyable, but I would definitely need several listens and/or hear it in the context of the album to see how much I liked it.

PS- Not even a fan of this band, but this is what came on my iPod on random, so here ya go.

Charlemagne 06-18-2011 09:01 PM

Not my style of music at all...3/10

Sljslj 06-18-2011 10:54 PM

That's exactly the kind of music I go out of my way to avoid. 2.5/10

It's interesting, not something I would normally listen to. I feel like it is somewhat incoherent though, like it's attempting to be genre-bending but tried too hard and ultimately wasn't able to pull it off. Sort of poppy I guess, but in a weird sort of way.

2/10

captaincaptain 06-19-2011 08:13 AM

It's not a bad song. The chorus kind of ruins it for me. 5/10

DoctorSoft 06-19-2011 08:54 AM

Way too mellow for me man 4/10

It's a nice song and Hodgy surprised me a bit with his skills. The other times I heard him rap was with Tyler and I usually just ignored Hodgy's verses and paid more attention to Tyler's.
