I'm so familiar with it now that it's hard to review it from an outside perspective, as if they weren't Nirvana (quote/unquote), would I play it at all? Maybe, maybe not. Kind of one of those tunes that I can play when I don't want to be an "In Utero" kind of listener when going through my Nirvana catalogue.

Only got a couple of minutes into that before having to quit.

1. That cringey, whiny, wtf way that Kurt was singing? Disturbingly awful. I've heard him do it before, but never that terrible.

2. I know some people like that unplugged album, but not me. Nirvana are a band who need amplifiers to justify their existence.

A lot of that was straight up Four Horseman. Solid track though, dug the singer's shrieks, not huge on his cleaner singing but I didn't dislike it enough for it to pull me out of the song. Really enjoyed the long instrumental interlude and the darker part where it gets a little blackened. 7.571/10

That was pretty cool. The rapping reminded me a bit of Del the Funky Homosapien and made me wish he rapped over samples like this on the regular. 8/10

Not really sure about those riffs. They're serviceable, but they sound less like doom and more like chugging nu/alt metal riffs that concentrate more on being percussive. They're not even that heavy, so the song kind of limply lumbers along in an unmemorable fashion. The singer's alright though. 5/10

Heaviness is nice. Sounds newer, but not too new as it has the traditional metal feel, which is good or bad depending on how spruce one's taste in metal is on any given day. Although that type of singing has its place in music, and I can understand that, it's not for me, so it leaves me where this style always tend to lead me -- toward the Land of No Opinion.

I'm not a huge fan of the song, but that doubled my respect for Layne as a singer. I had no idea he was that versatile. The song itself is give a 6.5/10. I dig the bass and percussion but the guitar is pretty cheesy.

I definitely like the opening spectrum-wave like sounds. However, the stop-gaps in the beat are jarring to the flow, and the vocals don't seem like they're necessary. Strip those elements out and leave me with the spectrum noises, and you'd have some decent background music. 4/10 overall.

That was god-awful. The whole time I was thinking "what is this, 2002?" Just too much schlocky clean corporate radio rock with a little too much respect for Hoobastank. Absolutely not my cup of tea. One point because when I couldn't make out the singer's cracker accent in the outro the harmonies were okay I guess. 2/10
