Music Banter has taught me that there are a hell of a lot of sheep around who will just blindly follow the next trend and who will also acquire the same handful of albums as everybody else of a particular genre just to say they know about it.

That in return has shown me I have nothing to fear about listening to music and that I don't really care what people think about what I listen to. I don't care if an album has sold 20 copies or 20 million copies, if I like it I like it.

It has also taught me to appreciate people with their own minds, regardless of whether they like the same music as me or not as they are few & far between.
