Question Are Musicians A*sholes By Nature?

I mean, in order to be truly great, you almost have to be a self-involved prick and really have to believe in what you're doing. if you read up on a lot of great musicians, the one thing they have in common is that they're all *******s.

I mean, I'm a ****ty musician and i'm an ******* right now. I can't imagine how I'd be if everyone was kissing my ass all day

I think you could say the same thing about businessmen, no? You just can't be a pussy if you're going to get to the top.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

There are a great number of musicians that are not assholes at all. About as many as there are assholes who aren't musicians.

I don't think great musicians are necessarily assholes but I would agree that the nature of a lot of musicians tends to lend themseves to it. For example, a lot of musicians are quite self-indulgent which can easily lead to them wanting things to sound exactly how they want it rather than what everyone else wants, causing conflicts.

You coupled it with "To be great, you have to be a prick" and then you said "Great musicians are jerks"
