+1 to be honest. If I'd had that attitude I'd have never got into the music of Animal Collective,Wilco,Steely Dan,Elvis Costello and others it took me a few listens to grasp the appeal of i now listen to obsessively.

Guilty. I justify it by being a DJ though...i have to have the music to pay my rent! (and if that weren't the case i'd just come up with another excuse.)

Oh my goodness...I cannot stand to import something and NOT adjust/correct the tags to keep things organized. If you don't do it right away, and keep downloading messy stuff, it'll never get fixed. Delete all that crap.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Oh, I'm really anal about tags. When I download something, I correct capitalization in each song name, make sure the year is correct (and add it to the sort option so the albums appear in chronological order on my ipod), and I download higher quality album art if it isn't there already. My digital collection is beautiful.

Mine too. But I don't bother downloading the artwork.

I used to not care, but one day I woke up and realized I wanted all the correct artwork. It was a 2 week project to update my existing collection, but once it was done...oh man. The main reason I did it is because I started thinking about back in the day when the artwork would help me decide what I wanted to listen to. Since I got an ipod classic with cover flow, I was finally able to do that again. Cover flow rocks the ****.

Yeah maybe one day I'll do it, because I really do love artwork and it has always gone hand in hand with music for me. But I won't do it till I switch to an app other than iTunes, since it has a really messed up way of storing it. I really don't care about it displaying on my current device though (iPod Nano), the screen is too small to care. But coverflow on the computer would be nice. And eventually I'll have a device with a larger screen.

I really need to get on it! But i download a lot while I'm at work and I can't really spend time doing that... i would do it when i get home but I admit... I'm not on my computer very much. I just turn it on, put on a cd and then go about my business. I should dedicate a bunch of time to it. But for instance, I downloaded the ministry discography and it is the most f***ed up thing I have ever seen!!!! I have like 5 copies of the same songs and idk.... I have to look up each individual album to see which songs are on which. So time consuming...
But you're right. It's important! It would make looking at my itunes so much more zen.

Zen is a good way to put it. Oneness with my music collection.
