I definitely have this problem with my library. It's f---ing enormous (78K songs) and I've only *really* listened to about 2/3 of it. But I kind of like it that way. My system basically works like this: I'll nick anything that even remotely piques my interest and put it in there. With some things, I listen to them right off--sometimes just once, sometimes they sink in enough to get on repeat for a while. But then there are lots of times when I'm not sure what I want to listen to and this is what the shuffle feature is for. I shuffle until I come upon something interesting and usually end up rediscovering something I've had for a while but never significantly paid attention to before.

That's why I'm loathe to get rid of things, even if I haven't really listened to them much or at all since I've had them--because I know myself and I'll probably come back around to them at some point, even if it takes me a couple years.

I keep everything I get because I like archiving. It's also nice to put my entire collection on shuffle and see what comes up and surprises me.

This is a must...I do it sometimes too. You have to step back and admire the art.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I keep a list of albums I have yet to hear. The ever growing backlog keeps me entertained and busy. Of course, I might die before I hear them all. haha.

I am actually trying to be a bigger Music hoarder, compared to you guys, my music collection is very small, and barely scratches the surface of most bands. I am trying to complete full albums, but the problem for me is finding the music, with some of the lesser known bands it is hard finding some of their music.

Oh cool I totally thought that thing was glued in there!
The best way to disassemble the case (which is also incredibly helpful for getting off that annoying sticker they put across the top) is to stick your nail under the hinge at the top or bottom of the spine of the case and lift ever so slightly, then just slide it away from the other part of the case. The way it's constructed is that there is that little peg at the top and bottom that fits into a hole in the top like a hinge. Just attack it from right there and you'll never break a case again. (if you're trying to get the sticker off you have to start from the bottom)

Sorry its a little hard to explain but It's really simple and if you look at a cd you'll get it.

Soulseek too. I've only had trouble finding a few things through that and it's easier to wade through (at least I find it so).

Me too. Every time I import an album onto my computer, I drag it into a backlog playlist. After 3 or 4 plays I'll take it out of there. Sometimes I'll shuffle this playlist to see what grabs my attention. It's quite a large playlist.
