ok well you're entitled to your opinion with the 80s Kiss thing I guess. I like "God of Thunder" and "Detroit Rock City" and they're both from Destroyer (those two songs and "Love Gun" are the only Kiss songs I like) so I'd have to agree Destroyer is their best album. Still, I think Kiss really sucks. Their lyrics are often even stupider than most hair metal ones.

that's the last thing I'll say in this thread because I think I got it too off-topic.

Given that we`re talking about Kiss, they`re very relevant given the amount out of terrible bands they`ve helped influence.

Kill 'Em All was released in 1983. Napalm Death formed in 1981.

Okay yeah that's true. They were huge in the 70s and 80s and are still rolling in the big bucks, yet the vast majority of their songs have been absolute crap with the most generic and shallow lyrics imaginable, and this sends a bad message to all bands. I like some of the ones that took it to heart but still, it's not a good thing.

I think I mentioned this somewhere above on the thread and groups like Aerosmith, Kiss, New York Dolls and Alice Cooper were highly influential on hair metal but I`d say that Van Halen and DEF Leppard were the direct culprits though.
