John Lennon was known to lift a bit from a song now & then.

The riff for "I Feel Fine" is from the Bobby Parker tune "Watch Your Step".

"Come Together" borrowed a line from Chuck Berry's "You Can't Catch Me".

The riff from "Revolution" is from Pee Wee Crayton's "Do Unto Others", sorry can't find a sample on the internet.

I personally don't like them but plagiarism is plagiarism.

I'm pretty sure that Chuck Berry and the song writer came close to suing Lennon (or he may have actually sued him), but they came to some kind of agreement so it didn't turn into a huge legal thing. I'm looking for some kind of source right now.

Got it: http://rockmusic.suite101.com/articl..._come_together. So they actually did go to court over this.

And Gentle Giant.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I'm on internet where Youtube videos take hundreds of years to load - are you saying that Gentle Giant was ripped off by someone, or that Gentle Giant ripped someone off?

The Rolling stones stole all of their early stuff from early blues bands. They're annoying.

I'm saying that Led Zeppelin ripped off not only Spirit but also Gentle Giant in the making of Stairway to Heaven.

I think you'll find they were covers and all the original artists were credited.

Hans Zimmer - Gladiator soundtrack - blatant rip off from holst's planets (can't post a link yet).

Glad that Andrew Lloyd Webber is mentioned as well!
