What Makes A Song Grab You
So how can you tell when a song as got it`s claws into your head & made you love it.
For me when I hear a song I want it to give me a tingle in my belly & up my spine & turn my legs to jelly , I want it to give me the same feeling I got when a woman took her clothes off & told me to make love to her for the first time. It`s rare it happens but when it does ... oh yeah.

A superb guitar riffs, great drumming, lyrics i can relate to and a very good chorus. they are the 4 aspects of a song that can grab me. examples-
guitar riff- layla (eric clapton) drumming- the rat (the walkmen) lyrics- creep (radiohead) chorus- the small print (muse) |

i usually like a song with 1.a good beat, and 2 it has to have lyrics that stand out to me in my life.....something that I would have written or put the perfect words to a feeling or time in my life....

No no no no no no no.
I`m not asking what parts of a song do you like , what I said was "So how can you tell when a song has got it`s claws into your head & made you love it" I want to know how it makes you FEEL. C`mon lets see some creativity

Gorgeous geetar, wrapped up in a beat, which makes your heart thump, and feet ache with a desire to dance. A hard, gritty voice which you feel from the top of your head to the tip of your toes. Though a haunting, melancholy voice can be just as amazing when you close your eyes and let the music take a hold of you.

...like when you play a song that's great, and you're completely pulled into the mood of the song, you feel yourself getting goosebumps all over and have the urge to tap your feet or sing along, no matter where you are, or who you're with. You kinda forget all thats wrong with the world, and can only think of the wonderful sound that you're hearing at that moment... THAT'S when i know it's a song that's grabbed me... and that's when i know that i love it...

i know a song has grabbed me when i have to stop everything im doing just to listen to it. yeah, the tingling spine come into it (though that may be a health problem). also, i know a song has really got me when i cant get it out of my head. you can always gage the quality of a song by your head movement.
