I agree.

That's the reason I like them. The fact that their music is so imperfect.

Who or what is a "perfect" band?

Okay, I think I could've been clearer.
What I meant was that while many bands try to sound as 'good' as possible: tight rhythms, clean vocals, and so on, The White Stripes do excactly the opposite, and it sounds like they don't give a ****. And that's why I like them.

I don't think any music could be a matter of perfection. It's more of an art, which differs from how musicians shape their own creative style. White Stripes are no different really.

The conversation was sound.

You went philosophy.

Made a common-wisdom point

and claimed that the White Stripes sound like every other band.

There are many bands who aim to be tight. Change on a dime, move together as one unit...

Thats no the white stripes.

Perhaps I should of used "sound" instead of "creative style" and elaborated.

Are you leaning towards traditionally formed bands? Synchronised drums guitar bass vocals? Then I could agree. However, they worked well together, that's what I consider "good". Taking away technicality, instruments or tightness I don't see how it would be imperfect if it suited. Even if their attitude supposed so, I hardly believe it. They just bought something new to the table. Musically I see it as art so I guess I'm struggling with where perfect comes into it whatever formation it is.

That's just my outlook, perfection is subjective after all.

You right! that's no the White Stripes.

The White Strips are trying to do dilerberately what just came naturally to The Shaggs

hey bud, thanks for the typo shoutout. Also, this song doesn't sound anything like the stripes. Its closer to Nico or Sonic Youth.
