I've never been overly enthralled by these guys. I've listend alot to WBC, Elephant, and GBMS but I've never thought they were masterpieces of blues-rock/garage rock.

Agree with this totally.

The White Stripes were great at what they did and, regardless of her lack of drumming talent, they worked much better together than any of Jack's other collaborations.

Jack White is a decent guitar player. Other than that got over 'em pretty quick.

Elephant is my favorite one.

His new solo record is amazing, the best thing he has done since then.

They really don't have any weird records apart from Get Behind Me Satan which still isn't all that weird.

Hi!

I'm a big Jack White fan and I was lucky enough to get a chance to work in a studio in Nashville that had known him quite well. They had a lot of great things to say about him. Apparently he's not your typical run of the mill megalomaniac but instead, professional and insanely talented (deciding between recordings was very tough as each had its own special kick to it).

A lot of respect to a musician like that

Seriously the "MEG SUKS AT DRUMS NO TECHNICALITY" argument has been done everywhere.

Okay, upon reflection, I think 'Eccentric' might be a better word. You got me. I think that may be why I am having a bit of difficulty slipping easily into Jack's solo record - it's kinda missing that sense of primitive eccentricity that makes the Stripes music so immediate and charming. I'm sure he intended to distance himself from that sound though.
