Built To Spill for me too, that song is a serious contender for my 'favourite song of all time' and my most played song on iTunes!

a little side note

when Built To Spill played the Capital Hill Block Party a few years ago...they teamed up with the local Seattle indie rock station and allowed the fans to vote on the songs that should be on the the set list....you could only vote once and for only one track and the top tracks that could fit into their set time became their set list.....Carry the Zero got the most votes

i voted for Randy Described Eternity

It's painful but I have to go with built to spill as well.

To be fair, that might be their best song and said the people is nowhere close to the top of Dino jrs stuff, at least to me. Even just off farm there's seven or eight songs I would have picked over carry the zero.

I like the instrumentation and the guitar solo on the Dinosaur Jr. song better, but as a whole the Built to Spill track takes the cake.

Built to Spill - 4
Dinosaur Jr. - 0

I think we'll make five points the winning number. First song to five points wins.
Next up who's better? Kurt Vile or his previous band The War On Drugs?

The War On Drugs - Red Eyes
Vs

Kurt Vile And The Violators - Goldtone

got to side with Ninetails, not really a big fan of Vile's dreary melancholic stylings be it solo or with one of his groups.
In 2011 I listened to both Slave Ambient and Smoke Rings for My Halo semi regularly in an attempt to understand the hype.
I preferred the latter, barely.

War on Drugs 0
Vile 2

Yup. Kinda didn't like either one much to be honest, but lesser evils...
