Mr Beast is great. I still like Young Team and Happy Songs more, but I'm always happy when i see Beast get some love.

ah, yes. Mr. Beast is great. Plus, i've got both Happy Songs and Young Team on the list, so they get some love, too.

#24: Fuck Buttons: Tarot Sport

sorry, mods. it's not my fault they're called F*ck Buttons. But, despite the terrible name, this is a really good album. Sure, some people might find it noisy or abrasive, but I love it! It's drone music at it's best, with complicated layers and danceable tunes that go on for ten minutes but feel as if it was only four minutes long. Very few artists can accomplish that feat. Olympians and Flight Of The Feathered Serpent are easily the best songs on this album. This is one of my favourite albums of '09, and if you have yet to hear it, go get it now!

#23: Foals: Antidotes

I loved this album. From the dancey mathy rawk tunes to the atmospheric qualities of tracks like Big Big Love (Fig. 2) and Like Swimming, this is a great album. I remember hearing this for the first time in 2008 and thinking it was the best thing ever. I remember being SOOO exited for Total Life Forever, but then they dropped the math part of their ego and went on to be an ordinary indie band. That made me really mad. they completely ruined their unique edge. Screw you, foals, Screw you.

Dancey mathy rawk huh? Maybe I will give that a listen. I've been aware of them for a few years but have never listened.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Oh, yeah. their first album is amazing but total life forever is just an ordinary indie album. nothing really original.

i recommend you get Antidotes and if you really want to, get Total life.

Tarot Sport slays, good pick. It's way better than Street Horrsing, even though Street Horssing has some awesome screaming.

Nice one on the picks. Foals are amazing although I don't think their new album was that bad. I think they've definately matured a bit but I would agree with you in that they have lost what made them stand out from the NME crowd. Tarot Sport is an amazing album as well which reminds me I need to check out Street Horrsing.

#22: The Breeders: Last Plash

You didn't see that coming, did you? The only alt rock album I truly like.

#21: Mogwai: Happy Songs For Happy People

Yep. More post rock. can somebody keep count? I'm starting to sound like those fanboy elitists on the internet. That aside, this is a pretty cool album. I find it more electronic sounding than most of their albums, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I really liked the song Hunted By A Freak. It's one of my favourites next to Kids Will Be Skeletons. Post rock forever, bros. It's a genre that needs way more love. Come on, guys, it's not as bad as you think it is.
