I remember seeing video of him in concert at Montreal. Was actually pretty cool, was wearing only a thong and a Canadiens hat.

There is that rumour about him and Mick Jagger but Angie Bowie is a proper bitter bastard. The only other thing I've seen is from Lindsey Kemp in a documentary about Ziggy Stardust and he said Bowie was gay and went into a bit of graphic detail regarding their relationship but who knows.

I think Bowie played up to a bit tbh.

If there's anything to it it's likely a phase he had in his youth.
