i think they should convert pictures into sound more often, like how aphex twin used this technique in equation

There are other great instruments that are similar to the theremin. The Beach Boys used a similar device called the Tannerin on songs like Good Vibrations and Wild Honey.

The Ondes Martenot while being completely different in design has a very similar sound as well and was also popular to use in old sci fi and horror films....
I'd never heard of a Tannerin, either! Now I'll go listen to Good Vibrations again. And an Ondes Martenot? Now I know what that is, too, thanks to you! You have a lot of information, boo boo.

Your mentioning of "Music From the Body" by Pink Floyd's Roger Waters and others led me to look up the music. I learned that this soundtrack for a human body documentary does include a lot of "biomusic," like you said (slaps, breathing, laughing, whispering, flatulence, etc.).

Here's a pretty song from Roger Waters "Music From The Body" that includes a tiny bit of biomusic (breezes, birdsong). Warning: the video shows a nipple and....BODY HAIR! Bwaa haaa haaaaaaa! (Just when you thought you were safe, boo boo!)

Pop music could use more natural instruments (nature sounds) like this song does:

Very fascinating instrument, wish I had one.

It has an incredible tone variety for something that's not a synthesizer or sampler.

I second this. And clarinet, drum machine, farfisa organ. And music definitely needs more violins. Hey, I just basically described Tuxedomoon.

I recommend late 70s Gong (also known as Pierre Moerlen's Gong), great psychedelic fusion with heavy emphasis on vibes and marimbas.

Give Shamal and Gazeuse! a try.
