if it's somehow an apocalyptic, fiery death, then Pendulous Skin from Mastodon. i'd choose it not just cause it's a beautiful song, but also for how it really lets you sit back and take it all in, as well as an almost shining and fiery feel from the guitars that give you the feeling of setting out on another plane of existence. really, it's a slow and sad feeling song that's at the end of an album about a journey, and at the end of the journey the person is so worn down and can finally rest. that's what it says to me.
there aren't any youtube vids cause of copyright stuff, but if you look at it here on their myspace as the last song

i would probably either listen to Jackpot by tyondai braxton or Left Side Drive by boards of canada. i want to listen to jackpot because quite frankly, it's genius. with the frantic guitars, the twinkling piano and the chord progression near the end when the vocals kick in, and also, it has tyondai's signature guitar-pedal distorted vocals that make the vocals sound very distressed and mad.
i would listen to left side drive because it's the most beautiful song i've ever heard. i love the bass and the old-school synth sounds of it, and plus boards of canada is the best band ever. |

because i love it and I guess you could make an argument about how if it was nukes or something we'd just end up doing it all again in a few thousand years or something
