Fun fact: the first performance got moshing prohibited on MTV live due to something like $2000 worth of damage. The second clip was a year later, and the band/fans tore it up regardless.
What a band.

this! the DVD was was filmed over the two nights he played at Royal Albert during his On an Island tour in 2006. i was there the first. absolutely breathtaking.
it was a night of Davids: Gilmour, Bowie, and Crosby

One of my favorite live performances I've watched video of was Queen's Live Aid performance, but specifically when guitarist Brian May and vocalist Freddie Mercury did a stripped down two-song set and performed an acoustic "Is This the World We Created?"
Then I have probably my two favorite concert moments I've seen live. Queen + Paul Rodgers, 9 rows away from the thrust and to the right. While this is my favorite song of the night by any means, this was on youtube, and I am still extremely pleased to have seen it live. And finally, my favorite live Phish moment I've seen live. I was three rows in front of bassist Mike Gordon for this song live, so this certainly isn't the view I had, but it was mind-blowing. |
