True but there's so many damn genre terms out there you're bound to find something that fits, no matter how off the wall it is.

Do we honestly need to classify though? Many artists overlap a bajillion different genres, if they stuck to one genre only, their music would be awfully boring.

That is what the slash is for,
Example: Children Of Bodom is Power/Death Metal.

No it isn't. Maybe bits of information might be incorrect, but if you're looking for something as simple as genres Wiki is sufficient.
