I like AC/DC best out of the aforementioned bands, but I think the running theme with all of them is that they stuck to one thing and did it over and over until the world stopped caring. And considering how silly the subject matter of the songs were, I find it funny that bands like Guns 'N' Roses took themselves so seriously (remember their music videos?!). I grew up in a white trash neighborhood where these bands were playing non-stop, and the atmosphere was pretty farcical, like something out of Spinal Tap. Imagine tons of mullet-prone 30-something single males with a beat up trucks and a beer guts listening to music about drugs and hot chicks and perhaps you'll see why I can't take it seriously.

I refuse to like anyone that comes off American Idol. Sorry, but it's true.
Also Taylor Swift, Miley Cryus and Colbie Caillat Oh and Nickleback and Creed....awful And the best for last: The Dave Matthews Band and John Mayer I hate them with a passion of 10 thousand burning suns.

No apology required, I feel the same way. I don't care how well you can sing, you're commercial shit I'm not interested in. If I was more into singer/songwriter types, I might feel differently and give these people a chance. Maybe. But I'm more into bands and/or producers, so I'm not interested in a solo vocalist trying to make it. Form a band, do your work.

AC/DC is in my top least favorite bands/artists of all-time. Absolutely horrendous, and the fact that I used to like them haunts me daily. I mean, sure, I used to like Green Day, but looking back on my Green Day phase, I remember their music wasn't always drenched in mediocrity -- AC/DC literally made me waste several months on not growing as a musician/person at all.
