Yeah, I had a feeling that would come up. I knew he was spinning a lot of progressive house too. He just gets too much praise for spinning records, no matter what it is.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Very, very true. I can't believe he's making Electro.. sometimes House.. and collaborating with Hip Hop artists. I wonder if even HE knows what the hell he's doing anymore. It seems like he's trying to do everything he can possibly do to be popular. Although Armin van Buuren is commercial he is putting interesting stuff out on his label like lounge music and "Classical Trancelations" which is a Classical music album that is filled with remakes of classic trance songs. His remixes and productions nowadays aren't my thing though.

I refuse to like Refused. How they get so much praise for all that whiny, pseudo-political crap they recorded in the 90's is beyond me. The Shape Of Punk To Come is probably the most overrated album I've ever heard: an hour of nothing but pointless bitching and crappy poems, repetitive downtuned guitar riffing and horrible feedback that somehow justifies the "experimental" nature of the album. It's only the shape of punk to come if you consider punk to be the music of those awful "screamo" bands that show up on Warped Tour every year.

Ok I admit the album may be a tad overrated (though it's good) and the title misleading/egotistical, but still, wow.

Hahaa yup! Sure do! I don't think it's all bad though because it could perhaps lead some people from Hip Hop or whatever to Electro and Trance... but probably not.

I don't care if "IIIIIIIIIIII LOOOOOOOOOOVE YOOOU JEISUS CARIIIIIST" is supposed to be "ironic" or "symbolic", it's just plain irritating to me.
Their fans are tossers too:
Conversation ca. 1998:

"Ever heard of Neutral Milk Hotel?"
"No."

Same conversation, 2005:

"Ever heard of Neutral Mil--"
"THEY ARE THE GREATEST FUCKING BAND TO EXIST, EVER!"

OK - here's a well-loved artist who I won't like..EVER

Stevie Ray Vaughn (and all electric guitar Blues wankers really). It's not that I don't love Blues - even guitar Blues. But the old (acoustic) Delta Blues guitarists are pretty much enough for me. I realy don't like the sound of electric guitars making Blues music in his style for some reason. It's kind of like if Joe Satriani or Yngwie Malmsteen had soul - their music would still suck. And why is it that these guys look like they're orgasming all over the backs of their guitars when they wank out a really bluesy solo?
