I just don't like Our Lady peace for some strange reason.

I usually learn to hate a band if they get to much hype for any one aprticular song or album and I'm overly exposed to it for long periods of time.
Or if they just suck in general

Indeed. Too much air play can do it too. I've listened to Stone Sour's new song....and not exaggerating....probably over 45 times now, willingly.
By the time I get the album, I'll probably skip the track every time =)).

Through the Glass?
I've heard that. It's pretty good. At first I didn't have much interest to hear Stonesour since it's a Corey taylor side project and i detest slipknot.
but this stuf is a lot better.

A band that I'm just starting to get into is red Jump Suit Apparatus. I've heard their song face Down maybe 50 times now and I know that when I get their album I'll neevr skip that song.

And the Strokes.
I hate the Strokes. tthey should die.
As well as Creed. Creed sucls. They make me think of lemons
And ICP.

I was a fan of Creed. Wish I could say the same for Scott Stapp's solo thing, but that's dissapointing. And yeah, Corey is much more talented when he's toned down, in Stone Sour. Most people forget that Stone Sour was his first band, and he just did more with Slipknot up untill now. Through the Glass, lyric wise, is probably my favorite song by them.

I like the vocals. they're very strong and precise (I think the word is).

I don't follow too much into Corey taylor's life so I enver knew his first band was Stonesour until you just told me.

Yeah, I didn't know for a while either, untill after I started listening to both bands. You should listen to Inhale, Bother, and Take A Number. I have links to all 3, if you want to hear.

Fixed** Left out a word or two.

I've heard all three of those songs before.
one of my best friends is the one that got me into Stonesour a few years ago when bother came out.
I think another reason I prefer Stonesour to Slipknot is because Slipknot wasn't known for their music so much as they were for wearing those hideous masks.

Yep. I liked Slipknot's last album pretty well too. It had a little of the feel from Stone Sour. Corey's just much more talented when he takes it down a notch.

Speaking of taking it down a notch, I've noticed that these past few RHCP albums, the band is losing their edge a little.
Hell a lot.

have you noticed that with some bands today?

Like Weezer. They're breaking up adn their last few albums weren't narly as great as their blue album.

Or Alient Ant farm. Although they're exceptional because they can give a kick ass performance any day of the week

Oh yeah. Now I loved RHCP's latest album, but I also have Weezer's. I guess Weezer's was ok.....to listen to once. Overall musicly, that album kinda sucked. Nothing like the old classics, Buddy Holly, or Hash Pipe. RHCP kind of evolves everytime they release something, so it's good to have a band putting out new things, rather than the same thing over and over. I loved Pearl Jam's latest too. It could very well be better than the Ten album.
