^ Blimey! The concept, and skill-set, of a one-man band has certainly changed a bit since I first got interested in music.

Loopers are wonderful things, but there's definitely a lot more dexterity involved when you go analog. Professional tap-head/rub-belly-at-the-same-time people.

Albert Ayler and harp in his Brooklyn apartment. (The painting on the wall looks familiar but I can't place it.)

A young John Lennon at the gate of the Strawberry Field orphanage in Liverpool...

...and as an adult, same location.

Right back at you, Lisnaholic!

Here's a backstage photo supposedly taken during Bob Dylan's "Rolling Thunder Revue" tour from '75-'76 showing a young Bruce Springsteen chatting with his idol Bob Dylan while John Prine looks on. The female in the photo is Springsteen's ex-girlfriend Karen Darvin. She would later marry Todd Rundgren and have a couple of kids with him.

Wow.

I googled a description. I think the painting is by an artist called Antoni Ditlef

Leave it to you - yes, his paintings definitely look similar. Thank you!

^ Counts me out then Though I can listen to music and post on MB at the same time. If you don't believe me, here's something I posted last week while listening to Simon and Garfunkel:-

Great photos of John Lennon, ribbons! In pic #2, I wonder if he was thinking, "There are places I remember, some have gone and some have changed..."

^ Wow! I wouldn't have recognized Bruce if you hadn't 've said. Nice, historic encounter. In fact that Rolling Thunder Tour generated a whole bunch of extraordinary moments. Here, for example, are Joni Michell, Roger McGuinn and Dylan in Gordon Lightfoot's house, about to perform JM's Coyote:-

Also fascinating to me, is that the tour was another installment of that special Dylan/Baez friendship. Here they are, looking like two kids who've been playing dress-up :-
